Pamela Courtney has over 25 years of litigation experience and is a partner in the firm. She has litigated cases in state and federal courts throughout Louisiana.
Pamela provides comprehensive, practical, and solution-focused guidance to a broad range of legal issues including personal injury, employment disputes, contractual issues and debt collections. Pamela is committed to client service and explains sophisticated issues in clear terms and searches for early resolution of disputed claims.
Pamela graduated from Centenary College of Louisiana in Shreveport, Louisiana, with a degree in Psychology. While at Centenary College, she was on a full tennis scholarship and a member of Chi Omega Sorority. She graduated from Mississippi College School of Law in Jackson, Mississippi, and was admitted to the Louisiana State Bar in 1993.
Following law school, she was employed by the 14th Judicial District Court in and for the Parish of Calcasieu where she clerked for eight (8) district judges (1993-1994). Thereafter, she was an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Louisiana Department of Justice where she was assigned to the Litigation Division and handled cases involving personal injury, employment law and civil rights litigation (1994-1998). She was also a Senior Attorney for the State of Louisiana, Division of Administration where she was assigned to matters involving employment issues and state contracts (1998). In 1999, she was a Staff Attorney for United States Magistrate Judge Alonzo Wilson in the United States District Court, Western District of Louisiana (1999-2001). In 2001, she joined the law firm of Fraser, Wheeler, Bergstedt and Courtney, L.L.P. where she became a partner in 2017.
Pamela is admitted to practice in the State of Louisiana and practices in state and federal court. In addition to being a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, she is also a member of the Southwest Louisiana Bar Association, Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, the National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel, and the Louisiana Attorney Disciplinary Board. Former affiliations include the Rotary Club of Lake Charles (Past-President, Rotarian of the Year, Board Member and Paul Harris Fellow), Family & Youth (Board Member) and Big Brothers/Big Sisters (Volunteer Lunch Buddy).
