Graduate of Louisiana State University School for Law, admitted to Louisiana bar in 1974. AV rated for 20+ years. In his active 44-year civil practice, he has extensive experience as a trial attorney for a wide variety of clients, from Fortune 500 companies to international insurers, as well as individual plaintiffs.
Represented Lloyds of London as Local Counsel in the Attorney General’s Tobacco Litigation. Represented Union Pacific as co-council, trial attorney in Midland parade accident case, co-counsel in the Eunice train derailment case, and numerous reported class actions and mass tort cases including flooding, chemical exposure, and grade crossing accidents.
Founding partner of the firm of Fraser, Wheeler & Courtney, LLP (est. 1988). Also serves as Attorney Chairman of Medical Review Panels, has served as a Special Discovery Master, and is a Registered Accredited Civil Mediator.
